COVID-19 POLICY

Updated policy as of 2/17/22

MASKS OPTIONAL:

Effective Saturday 2/19/22, athletes and coaches will no longer be required to wear masks at practice regardless of vaccination status.  Please be mindful to the few instances below where masks may be required.

TEAM:

If a teammate tests positive for COVID AND was symptomatic within 48 hours of attending their last practice, all athletes whom are considered close contacts will be notified.  Close contacts should follow the quarantine guidelines set forth below. All other athletes need not quarantine.

QUARANTINE:

If you were a close contact with someone with COVID-19 (in or out of the gym) please follow the quarantine guidelines based on your current vaccination status.

  • Vaccinated or boosted within the last 6 months:   Athletes can return with a mask without quarantining.  These masks must be worn for 10 days after exposure.   Athletes should monitor for symptoms and remain home if any symptoms present themselves within 10 days of exposure.  Best practice is to test 5 days from exposure, though it is not required.

  • Unvaccinated (or vaccinated more than 6 months ago) individuals: Athletes should quarantine for 5 days.  Athletes can return after 5 days with a mask.  These masks must be worn for 5 days after quarantining concludes.  Athletes should monitor for symptoms and remain home if any symptoms present themselves.  Best practice is to test 5 days from exposure, though it is not required.

LIMITED EXCEPTION TO QUARANTINE:

The CDC allows for an exception to quarantine when quarantining is not feasible. Exceptions to the 5-day quarantine policy will be made for all teams Tiny 1 and above if a competition is within those 5 days and athlete is not exhibiting any symptoms.  Athletes can attend a competition with a N95/KN95 mask but should remain home from practices.  The Athlete will arrive for warm up only and depart immediately following performance.  The Athlete will not participate in any live awards and should avoid being around any other athlete.  This exception does not apply to our Cheer and Dance Abilities teams, Tiny Novice or Tiny Prep.

POSITIVE COVID CASES:

Everyone, regardless of vaccination status, should remain home for 5 days if they test positive.  Pursuant to the CDC, if you have no symptoms or your symptoms are resolving (without fever for 24 hours) after 5 days, you can return to practices/competitions.  A mask will be required after returning until the 10-day period has passed.  If athlete has a fever, they must remain home until the fever resolves.
